{"id":24,"date":"2010-08-04T16:55:35","date_gmt":"2010-08-04T16:55:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.spreeder.com\/blog\/?p=24"},"modified":"2010-08-04T16:55:35","modified_gmt":"2010-08-04T16:55:35","slug":"speed-reading-skills-their-importance-and-how-knowledge-attracts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.spreeder.com\/blog\/2010\/08\/04\/speed-reading-skills-their-importance-and-how-knowledge-attracts\/","title":{"rendered":"Speed Reading Skills \u2013 Their importance and how knowledge attracts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>And here\u2019s another reason why speed reading skills are so important.<\/p>\n<p>When you\u2019re the type of person who can easily gain knowledge, people are naturally more attracted to you.\u00a0 Not so much in a physical way; but socially.\u00a0 Think about it.\u00a0 When you\u2019re out somewhere, do you gravitate towards the person who\u2019s dull and boring and has very little to say?\u00a0 Or do you settle in beside the person who engages you and others with interesting tid-bits of information?<\/p>\n<p>If you hang out with the people who have little to say, maybe it\u2019s because you have little to say and that\u2019s where you feel most comfortable.\u00a0 If that\u2019s what you do, don\u2019t worry.\u00a0 You have what it takes to change that.\u00a0 You have me, and these speed reading posts, and most important of all, you have a desire to change.<\/p>\n<p>Whenever your desire starts to wane, don\u2019t let it.\u00a0 You have to stick to your guns. Like it or not, or agree with me or not, if you lack knowledge, people will exclude you.\u00a0 Sadly, that\u2019s true.\u00a0 Aside from close friends and family, you might find that most people won\u2019t want to be around you.<\/p>\n<p>And it gets worse than that.\u00a0 If you\u2019re a slow reader, you may be preventing yourself from attaining a position of power.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m going to pause for a moment and let you think about that.<\/p>\n<p>Now think about this.\u00a0 Reading and learning are <em>skills. <\/em>They\u2019re not something you either get or you don\u2019t get when you are born.\u00a0 They\u2019re learned.\u00a0 And that means absent any physical or mental conditions, you have the same capacity to read and learn as everyone else in the world does.<\/p>\n<p>Did you hear what I just said?\u00a0 Let me repeat.<\/p>\n<p>I said speed reading and learning are skills.\u00a0 Therefore, like any skill, whether it\u2019s basketball or figure skating or speaking a foreign language, with a desire, dedication and a lot of practice, it is possible for you to improve your ability to read and learn.<\/p>\n<p>I already know you have the desire to become a better reader because you\u2019re listening to me and getting ready to learn new techniques.\u00a0 I will help you improve your abilities by teaching you a number of exercises that are designed to help you read faster and comprehend more.<\/p>\n<p>In order to achieve results, you\u2019ll have to dedicate some time acquiring the necessary skills for speed reading.<\/p>\n<p>Practice is the only way you will remember the techniques I\u2019ve taught and it\u2019s the only way you can improve your reading and comprehension abilities.<\/p>\n<p>By taking time to practice, you will become better and faster reader.\u00a0 And as a result, you will gain more knowledge.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Video Version of Post<br \/>\n[youtube]http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JDoR4dHYEWI[\/youtube]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>And here\u2019s another reason why speed reading skills are so important.
